I have just added four new songs into high rotation. They are all pre-release singles from impending new albums from classic rock artists: new Joan Jett, Steve Perry, Billy Gibbons and Tom Petty.

Joan Jett & The Blackhearts – Fresh Start. This song was newly recorded for the impending documentary about this groundbreaking all-girl band. The film is called Bad Reputation and it premieres September 28th. Click here for more information about the film and it’s soundtrack.

Billy Gibbons – Standing Around Crying. The second single from the ZZ Top guitar player’s impending solo release called The Big Bad Blues. The album is due for release on September 21st.

Steve Perry – No More Cryin’. The second single from the ex-Journey vocalist’s impending album Traces, which is scheduled for release on October 5th.

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers – You and Me (Clubhouse Version). The second single from the late icon’s soon-to-be-released box set called American Treasure – due for release on September 28th.

Paul McCartney – Egypt Station … The ex-Beatle returns with his first album since 2013’s New – and it is well worth the wait. The album is simple and honest with great songs. Elvis Costello & The Imposters – Unwanted Number. The “other” Elvis is back with a new song from his upcoming release Look Now.

Doyle Bramhall II – Everything You Need. This song features Eric Clapton on guitar, and will be found on Bramhall II‘s new album Shades.

Boz Scaggs – Out Of the Blues … For over 10 years now Boz Scaggs has been releasing albums that are grittier and more blues-based than his most popular albums from the mid-1970s to mid-1980s. This new album maintains that trend, taking the music back into the blues (contrary to what the album title says!) Elvin Bishop’s Big Fun Trio – Something Smells Funky ‘Round Here … Their previous debut album garnered a Grammy nomination and the band continues in a fun-filled bluesy direction. Bob Dylan – Live 1962 – 1966: Rare Performances from the Copyright Collections … This two-disc compilation of early concert recordings brings together material previously only available on the limited edition 50th Anniversary/Copyright Extension albums. The track is called Keep A Little Soul and is the first single released from the upcoming box set Tom Petty: An American Treasure. The 4 CD box set will contain 60 tracks of previously unreleased live and studio recordings from across the legendary performer’s storied career.  It is due for release in September of 2018.
