I have just added 17 new songs into high rotation in the playlist. Eleven of the songs are from the following newly released classic rock albums:

Robbie Robertson – Sinematic … The former The Band member returns with his first album since 2011. It has the classic Robbie Robertson sound, with vocals that almost sound like they’re spoken, over a layer of shimmering guitars. Listen for the songs Street Serenade and Walk In Beauty Way. Read the review here.
The Beatles – Abbey Road (Anniversary Edition) … The Fab Four continue to celebrate their catalog of iconic releases with a 3 disc set celebrating 50 years since the initial release of this album. Re-mixed and remastered – the sound is glorious – with 2 discs of interesting outtakes and demos. Listen for a demo version of Come And Get It – a Paul McCartney song given to the band Badfinger. Read the review here.
Gerry Beckley – Five Mile Road … The co-founder of the ‘70s hitmaking-and-still-touring group America gives us an album where he plays all the instruments with just a little assistance from actor/musician Bill Mumy, former Chicago singer/bassist Jason Scheff, and Poco guitarist Rusty Young. Listen for the songs Hang Your Head High and Sudden Soldier. Read the review here.
Bruce Cockburn – Crowing Ignites … The Canadian singer-songwriter’s latest album features no singing – the entire album is made up of 11 tight instrumentals, which shows off how this folk troubadour is also a virtuosic player. Listen for the track Blind Willie. Read the review here.
Liam Gallagher – Why Me? Why Not. … The former Oasis member has returned with his second solo album, which has been met with critical acclaim and excellent sales numbers (the album debuted at #1 in the UK). Listen for the songs One Of Us and Shockwave. Read the review here.
Pixies – Beneath The Eyrie … The band’s seventh album is darker than most of their catalog, but finds them more confident sounding than they have for quite some time. However, it is arguably their most consistent body of work since their 2004 reformation and certainly their most inventive in 28 years. Listen for the tracks On Graveyard Hill and Catfish Kate. Read the review here.
Alice Cooper – The Breadcrumbs EP … Released on 10″ vinyl in a limited number (only 20,000 copies are available) – this EP (which is also available as a digital download) celebrates and salutes the artist’s earliest influences. There are only 6 songs on the EP and it clocks in at around 22 minutes – but it is a rockin’ 22 minutes of fun! Listen for the song Detroit City 2020. Read the review here.
