New Cheap Trick and Styx Released

I have just added 4 new classic rock tracks into high rotation on the station – from two seminal classic rock bands – Styx and Cheap Trick.

I have added 2 tracks from the brand new Styx album called The Mission. Listen for Overture/Gone Gone Gone and Radio Silence. Read the review here.

I have also added 2 new track from the latest release from the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame honorees – Cheap Trick. The album is called We’re All Alright. Listen for the tracks Lolita and a cover of the song Blackberry Way – originally done by The Move. Read the review here.

New Chuck Berry and Fleetwood Mac (Almost)

I have just added 4 new classic rock tracks into high rotation.

First, I have added 3 additional tracks from the long-awaited “almost” Fleetwood Mac album – which became a self-titled release from Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie. It features Mick Fleetwood and John McVie in the rhythm section, but with Stevie Nicks declining to join the project, I guess they didn’t feel it was right to call it a Fleetwood Mac album. Nevertheless, the album features some sparkling pop nuggets. Listen for the new tracks Carnival Begin, Red Sun and Gone Too Far. Read the review here.

Also, listen for a track from the late Chuck Berry‘s last album of original material. Planned before his unfortunate demise – the project shows why the man was one of the architects of rock n’ roll. Listen for the track Wonderful Woman. Read the review here.

Roger Waters - Is This the Life We Really Want? — Roger Waters – Is This the Life We Really Want?

Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd) released his latest album on June 2nd. It is dark and deep (like most of his stuff) and is called Is This The Life We Really Want?. I had previously added 2 tracks from this album that were released as singles into high rotation, but now that the album is out in all its Pink Floydish glory – I have added 2 additional tracks into high rotation.
