As you probably know by now – the station’s streaming computer failed a few days ago. It has been diagnosed – and the good news is that no data was lost. The bad news in that the power supply shorted out – and it has to be replaced. The really bad news – is that because it is the long weekend – I won’t be getting it back until Tuesday. (Very Bad Timing).

What you are hearing now is a backup stream that is only supposed to be played for short durations while the main stream is down. It has nowhere near the list of songs that play on the main stream. Hence you are hearing songs repeat every day or so.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience. I appreciate your patience! I will do everything I can to get the stream back up as soon as possible.

Last night – the computer that I use to program, update and stream the music that plays on Choice Classic Rock failed to start after a hard shutdown. There is some kind of power issue happening.

The backup music kicked in and that is what you are currently hearing on the station. This stream was meant to play for a few minutes while the main computer was updated, etc. However, it will be playing for awhile now – while the main computer is repaired and/or replaced. I have been told this could take up to a few days (hopefully faster).
