New Monkee Music!

The Monkees – Good Times
The Monkees – Good Times

I have just added into high rotation in the playlist 4 brand new tracks from (wait for it) – The Monkees. That’s right – dubbed by many as the Prefab Four back in the sixties, The Monkees have released their new album Good Times to critical acclaim. Teamed with producer Adam Schlesinger – the multi instrumentalist from Fountains of Wayne – and featuring new tracks composed by such musical luminaries as Noel Gallagher (of Oasis), Paul Weller and Andy Partridge (of XTC) – as well as older songs composed by Harry Nilsson, Tommy Boyce & Bobby Hart and Neil Diamond – the album is a perfect blend of pop rock. Some critics have called it “the best album released so far in 2016.” Tune in to check out the tracks Good Times, Gotta Give It Time, She Makes Me Laugh and You Bring the Summer. Click here to see the video of the track You Bring the Summer.

I have also added 4 new tracks into high rotation from the new release from Tom Petty‘s side band called Mudcrutch.

Eric Clapton’s Last Album?

Eric Clapton – I Still Do
Eric Clapton – I Still Do

Today, Eric Clapton released his latest project called I Still Do. In media interviews this week, he intimated that this may actually be his last project before retirement. I hope not! I have added 4 more tracks into high rotation from this release – and they all are tasty nuggets of classic rock and blues. You can check out the video for the latest single released from the album – which is called Spiral – by clicking here.

I also heard a nice ballad the other day from Don Henley‘s recently released album – Cass County – so have added the track Words Can Break Your Heart into high rotation. Enjoy!

Eric Clapton – I Still Do

I have just added 13 newly released tracks into high rotation. These tracks feature some of classic rock’s finest artists

Santana just released their long-awaited new album Santana IV – which features the original Woodstock era band reunited. This album resurrects the late 60s/early 70s sound of the band and I highly recommend it. I have added an additional 5 tracks from this album into high rotation – to join the 2 that I added a couple of weeks ago!

I have also added 2 tracks from Eric Clapton‘s forthcoming album, which is called I Still Do. Listen for the tracks Can’t Let You Do It and Stones In My Passway. Give the tracks a listen and I think you’ll agree that Slowhand is still getting it done.

Also listen for 2 new tracks from the latest album from Graham Nash (of Crosby, Stills & Nash) which is called This Path Tonight; a new track from Peter Frampton‘s latest all-acoustic release called (appropriately) Acoustic Classics; 2 new tracks from the latest album from Peter Wolf (of the J. Geils Band) called A Cure For Loneliness; and lastly – a new track from the newest release from Cheap Trick which is called Bang, Zoom, Crazy … Hello.

New Santana, Robin Trower and Jeff Healey

Santana IV
Santana IV

I have just added four brand new classic rock tracks into high rotation.

The first two tracks are from Santana IV, which is the upcoming twenty-third studio album by American Latin rock band Santana and the fourth album by almost the entire Woodstock-era classic lineup. It is due to be released on 15 April 2016 and from everything I have read is a “magical” album. Listen for the tracks Anywhere You Want To Go and Blues Magic.

The next new track is from Robin Trower (of Procol Harum). It is the title track from his latest release called Where You Are Going To.

And lastly, I have added a track from the late Jeff Healey‘s new album called Heal My Soul, which was released to help celebrate what would have been his 50th birthday. Listen for the track Daze Of the Night.

New Tracks From New Classic Rock Releases

Emitt Rhodes – Rainbows End
Emitt Rhodes – Rainbows End

This week, I have added into high rotation 5 new tracks from 4 brand new classic rock releases.

Starting off, we have 2 new songs from Emitt Rhodes’ new album called Rainbow Ends. This is the first new release in 43 years from this multi-instrumentalist / artist, who drew comparisons to Paul McCartney back in 1973 when his last album came out. Listen for the tracks Dog On A Chain and If I Knew Then.

Next, I have added a new track from the original soundtrack recording of the Janis Joplin documentary movie, which is called Little Girl Blue. The track is a rockin’ little number called Tell Mama and it was recorded live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada back in 1970.

I have also added the track Beware of Darkness, as performed by Ann Wilson (of Heart). This track is featured on the live recording of the tribute album to George Harrison called George Fest.

Lastly, I have added a track from the new album from Pat Travers (of Delaware Destroyers fame) and Carmine Appice (the drummer for Vanilla Fudge, Cactus, Beck Bogart & Appice and more) – which is called The Balls Album. Listen for the track Hey You.

I sincerely hope you enjoy this new music from these classic rock artists!
