After a quiet holiday season (music release-wise), we finally have some new tracks released! I have just put 6 newly-released classic rock tracks into high rotation in the playlist. Start streaming now (it’s free) and listen for songs from the following recently released albums:
The Yardbirds – Yardbirds ’68 … this Jimmy Page produced double release contains one disc of live material recorded in May of 1968 at the Anderson Theatre in New York, and one disc of never previously officially released “studio sketches” recorded by the band during the same period – consisting of eight tracks ranging in quality from near finished master takes to bare bone instrumental scratch tracks. Listen for the tracks The Train Kept A Rollin’ and Over Under Sideways Down. Read the review here.
Strawbs – The Ferryman’s Curse … this critically acclaimed album from the English prog-rock band fronted by Dave Cousins (which has been recording since 1968) is a joy to listen to. Listen for the tracks In The Beginning/The Nails In the Hands of Christ and We Have the Power. Read the review here.
Joe Satriani – What Happens Next … If you like the electric guitar – you will find this album a pure delight. One of the finest guitar players on the planet has released another album of sizzling instrumentals. Listen for the tracks Smooth Soul and Cherry Blossoms. Read the review here.
Choice Classic Rock – classic rock like you’ve never heard it before!
